This week I was at a ministers conference in Wales that my brother runs (The eccentrics conference!!). Dick Lucas, Geoff Thomas and Robert Letham were speaking but the highlight of the conference was Martin Downes paper on 7 habits of highly effective heretics. He is working his way through the paper at his blog.

Archaeology Night

On Saturday 19th January at 8pm at 52 Cleveland Rd, our friend David Graves from Canada will give a presentation on the archaeology “dig” he is a member of. They are trying to find the lost cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. He will be fresh back from the dig in Jordan where he has been since December 26th and will give a slide show of their digging in January, show us some artefacts that he has dug up in the last 3 weeks, and give an update on their latest thinking as to whether they have found these two cities. It should be an interesting evening

I will be preaching in Aberdeen so Chuck Phillips will be preaching in the morning and Hristo Voynikov in the evening.

House-Groups

House-groups start up this Tuesday and Wednesday. The group at the Raes have a meal and will be starting Christianity Explored next week.
On Wednesday night there are now 4 groups that meet at Ali's (studying Romans) , the hosiers (studying Acts) , the Littles (studying ????) and at church (doing the Christianity Explored training -with some alterations)
If you're not in a group feel free to turn up to one.
